Innovative Food Brands shares franchising business investment know-how with university students

Oakville, January 2016 – The President and COO of Innovative Food Brands, the company behind beloved restaurant brands Teriyaki Experience and The Chopped Leaf, Mr. Nick Veloce, spoke to Brock University students about investing and franchising.

Goodman School of Business at Brock University invited Mr. Veloce to their Business Hour, where students enjoyed lunch while engaging in discussion about making the leap into business investment.

Mr. Veloce’s story is a classic tale of working your way up, with one difference: Veloce carved his own way. Veloce started his career at 19 in a typical fast-food job before taking the leap by investing in his own franchise business at 21 years old.

Building and operating several franchise brands gained him the expertise he uses now to run a global company. In his words, “…My hands-on experience as a franchisee taught me many of the skills vital for … a global company with franchised locations in UAE, Bahrain, Italy, Costa Rica, Panama, Canada and US.”
